The new linen bodice is perfect for renaissance faire. Sometimes people call them corset bodices, since they have steel boning in for shaping and support. Available in lovely colors, and the square neckline is a very flattering cut, slightly higher than most designers. The extra inch provides a bit of comfort and security. I have been carrying this item recently in my booth at faire, and my customers love it.
I make these bodices with quality construction. Starting with a linen outer layer and linen lining, and a strong cotton interlining too. Each bodice has 4 steel bones for proper support and excellent fit, so you do not need to wear a bra with this top. Size 16 to size 20 have 2 rows of diagonal bones for added support. Sturdy grommets in front for easy lacing, and a cute notched epaulet on the shoulder emphasizes your lovely shape. Its all topstitched down carefully to keep things nicely in place.
The garment is preshrunk and linen has a bit of natural give to it, so this bodice will be comfortable during wear. With the linen and cotton layers, your bodice can breathe too. If you need to wash it because its dirty, handwash is mandatory. Lay it flat to dry and use a steamy hot iron on it. If it has picked up body odor but not really dirty, turn it inside out and hang it in the sunshine for a day. Can you believe the sunlight actually gets rid of odors? Crazy but true.
Size: Please use the size chart to determine your size. If you order the wrong size, I can send you a replacement but it takes time and you’ll be likely to miss your big day. We don’t want that.
