Here’s a fun picture of me in my native habitat. In the studio, making chemises. I’ve got this great new fabric in a linen/cotton stripe. I think it makes a fantastic chemise for your renaissance costume. By the end of today, the website will be updated with the listing and (hopefully) it all works so you can get some of this great stuff.
Would this be great for pirates? Yes. And its not the same old boring red and black that everyone else will be wearing. Also, this pinstripe works really well for a historical renaissance costume too – early Italian renaissance ladies liked the stripes once in a while.
From the product listing: This pretty and practical linen A line chemise is a standard renaissance undergarment for any middle class ladies outfit. I designed it to emulate period patterns for a great historical look and for maximum comfort too. You may find yourself wearing it after hours by itself for lounging or as a nightgown. I do.
Just a reminder to the world, I’m in the studio making chemises AND tuning up this website with the intention to be productive all year around, not just in faire season. Wouldn’t that be awesome? I think so. I really really do. Send me an email if you want to chime in, chat or just shoot the breeze. I’m here to help. <3
