Kids renaissance breeches are elastic waisted short pants in several colors for your children at renfaire. They are designed to be below the knee in length, but not to the ankle. Because style, right? The fabric is the same midweight linen blend that I use for adult clothing, which allows me to use leftovers/cabbage and further reduce what I add to landfill. I like that a lot, I think you will too. I also made them a bit baggy for comfort and also so you can get a more than one season of wear in them. Then, hand them down to the next. 🙂
Care: If things get messy (we’re dealing with kids and renaissance faire yes it will happen), its easy to bleach this garment back to clean. And do it again if you need to. Linen is very sturdy and can take quite a lot of wear and tear. Its pre-shrunk too and that means no problems with the fit. Hang it dry for the easiest part of the whole process.
The model here is a very active toddler in a size 4. He never stopped running for more than a few seconds. It was awesome!
