his Kids renaissance chemise shirt is the beginner garment for your littlest renfaire fan. I designed this specifically for size 12m to 6yrs, because those lil’ cuties have a head about as big around as their torso. So, this is some old school gathered neckline-raglan sleeve styling and its super cute. I call it a chemise shirt to differentiate it from the tunic shirt style I make. The model is wearing the size 4.
This little kids chemise shirt features long sleeves for sun protection and a very wide, A-line style body. The hem of the garment should hit anywhere from waist to knee. You can roll the sleeves or wear them long, its a versatile look. Made of a mid weight linen blend that is easy to care for.
Care: If things get messy (we’re dealing with kids and renaissance faire yes it will happen), its easy to bleach this garment back to clean. And do it again if you need to. Linen is very sturdy and can take quite a lot of wear and tear. Its pre-shrunk too and that means no problems once its good. Hang it dry for the easiest part of the whole process.
