This fancy velvet renaissance hat is a head turner for sure. The hat is made of very fine cotton velvet, accented with braid trim and fully lined. There are a good variety of colors and sizes, and even 2xl for my customers. I care and you deserve a really good hat. You know who you are.
I call it an Italian Bonnet, from research I found dating back to young King Henry’s time. Apparently, all the young nobles were writing back to their parents about the new style, because it was commonly worn by both Ladies and Lords.
Because the velvet is cotton, the fancy renaissance hat can be washed. Gently. Best results require handwashing so lay it flat someplace shady to dry. You can spiff it up with a stiff brush and a steamy iron if necessary.
