And just like that, spring Faire season is almost over! Wow! One more weekend left to celebrate with our friends and faire family. The season has had a few notable changes and firsts. I’ve gotten my first ever manager (Marie) to look after things for me so I can look after the sewing side of the business better. I got a very good salesperson (Luna) too and I hope to be working with them for many many years yet. My steady boothie Anda is with us and keeping things on even keel, and my old friend William joined the team. So the team is a balance of new and the familiar.
I got to debut the new linen blend I’ve been eager for – and it has been a good success. Customers like the new stuff! I even was able to upgrade mens shirts and ladies chemises this season, and I finally got approval to carry my line of over the knee socks in the booth. Both regular and magnums. Huzzah!
Like every year, this time of the season is bittersweet. I love my friends and am happy in their successes so I’ll look forward to ‘next time.
