All the ladies know the best thing for faire is a set of linen bloomers. Comfy and practical. You may find yourself wearing them after hours or at home just for lounging. I do.
I make bloomers in a range of sizes from small/medium to 2x. Its a very full range from the very petite through a very generous 2x for our goddesses.
Fabric: For the solid colors, I use a ‘softened’ linen blend of linen and rayon. Also, right now I’ve got a small batch of stripey lilac/white and a light blue check in lovely lightweight 100% linen. Yummy.
Care: You can wash these on regular warm settings and toss in the dryer too. I think for best results, hang dry would be preferred, but its up to you. I always preshrink, so you can launder your bloomers and be confident about the size remaining the same. If you have stains on your garment, go ahead and spot treat before the laundry. The fabric is sturdy and can take heavy use.
The linen bloomers have a 1″ wide elastic waist – its the good stuff too so it should last many seasons. The cuffs feature a small ruffle and 3/8″ elastic. I cut those hips wide and taper the legs down to the cuff.
